all the kids cried out please stop you're scaring me I can't help this awful energy god damn right you should be scared of me who is in control? One could not forget Kelle. The first paramedic on the scene, though she wasn't sure how much Kelle knew. From what Jamie had been told the interaction between the people on the boat and Kelle had been brief? Though Jamie was more interested in what Kelle had seen from a distance before being allowed onto the scene itself. The woman pushed her chair back from her desk to stand up and stretch as she waited for Kelle to arrive for their interview time. Jamie was fairly certain that one of Chicago's own was trying to blow up police officers and feds. She had to wonder if this vendetta extended any farther than she believed or was this just localized within the department. Well after she spoke to the first on the scenes she would hope to have more information.

Kelle felt like she was going to puke, and maybe that was a good thing? After all, if she threw up all over the investigator's shoes maybe she would get out of the grilling? Not that she had anything to hide personally, but she just didn't want to say anything that would get anyone else into trouble and thereby make herself a pariah.
Straightening the collar of her uniform, she stepped into the office, giving the woman there a nervous nod, feeling as guilty as sin for absolutely nothing!
"Afternoon," she muttered, "Um...I need my union rep..." A stalling technique if nothing else!

When Kelle came in and asked for her union rep Jamie raised a brow. "That's your right, but no one is here to Jam you up. A cop shot a fed, we just want to know if it was a clean shoot" she was being honest and up front. That was something that most of IA was not known for. "As the first on the scene, we just want to know if and what you saw when you got there" The voice of the blonde was gentle. Though Jamie was the type when she got rattled.. it was over. Jamison picked up the phone and called down to the department for a rep for Kelle. Though it made her suspicious, if she had something to hide clearly. Once she hung up the phone, she looked towards Kelle. "Your rep is on the way." It was very direct. Though with an operation where even the paramedics were calling in reps? Something was wonky and so her first suspicion was cast on the Voights. One had shot a fed and the other was covering it up? Jamie hadn't exactly been given the cliff notes to the operation. She would just have to get a hold of them herself, or make up her own.

When Kelle came in and asked for her union rep Jamie raised a brow. "That's your right, but no one is here to Jam you up. A cop shot a fed, we just want to know if it was a clean shoot"
Ah, so that was it! Well, part of it, anyway. Kelle had purposely asked Steven not to tell her too much so that she could answer truthfully, and she whole-heartedly embraced 'ignorance is bliss'!
"I understand," she murmured, waiting for a direct question, wondering if it was Thomas or Allison who was the Fed or cop.
"As the first on the scene, we just want to know if and what you saw when you got there"
Well, that did seem innocuous enough, and Kelle was starting to feel a little better about how this was going to go down, and she took the time to think things over as the woman made her call.
"Your rep is on the way."
"Thank you." Kelle offered an uncertain smile, the shrugged. "Shooting part was over when we got there," she explained, "I think that's why we were there." In all honesty, there had been no specific call, Steven had just known. "The explosion was...maybe three or four minutes later?"
She hoped none of what she was saying was if any real help.

As Jamie was hanging up the phone, Kelle started talking. She brought up the explosion. "I know you were probably focused on your patients, but did you see anyone leaving the area of the explosion just before that by chance?" she asked. Jamie knew the rep was already on his way up the stairs. That was because he was in the building from the last interview she had done with the medics. Once she was done exchanging greetings with the representative she looked towards Kelle. "Do you remember who was around at all?" She added.

Kelle hesitated for a moment, thinking over the answer, just to be sure she had the details right. While the pauses might be taken as hedging, she really was just making sure she was careful about what she said, and accurate as well.
"Well, actually, I wasn't there when the boat exploded...I mean, I was back by the ambulance, so I didn't see anything until the dust settled down." She took a breath then shrugged. "When I got there, there was just...the woman, Allison, and the FBI agent...Thomas Jackson. I didn't see anyone else until a little later when the others got there...well, besides my partner, Steven Hudson, of course."
So far so good! At least she thought...that kinda depended on where the questions went from here.

Jamie waited until the representative came in before she started asking the deeper questions. "Did anyone brief or debrief you on this operation?" she questioned. How much did she actually know and would she be of any help? Jamie had to know that before she could really go any farther in the investigation. If someone had read her in, then she was likely to give very rehearsed answer and Jamie knew she was giving out information that she knew this was an operation of sorts. But just how far had this operation filtered? Jamie had so many questions in her own head that she couldn't just outright. Ask one thing and think another.

Well, there was the loaded question, and Kelle had to hesitate as she thought over her reply, hoping that it didn't make her look like she was hedging or guilty. At least she didn't have to look at the rep, she knew she hadn't violated any rules, but she just wanted to be sure to get her wording right.
"My partner, Steven Hudson, and I talked about it a little after." She shrugged, looking at the woman. "We always talk about calls...no every one, but, well, a lot, you know?" That was just part of a partnership. "I just know that someone requested us for a stand-by and he asked me to stay by the rig for my safety." At that, she grinned a little. "You know, the rookie...but then there was the explosion and I couldn't just stand there."
Thank goodness she and Steven had cut that conversation short so that she didn't have to tell anything that might hurt him, if there was even anything to tell.
"But he didn't tell me what to say, or not to say," she added quickly, making that clear.

all the kids cried out please stop you're scaring me I can't help this awful energy god damn right you should be scared of me who is in control? Jamie had gotten the information she needed. Someone higher up had put this all into play. She had already figured on Kelle being the low man on the totem pole but she knew exactly who to go to next. With that she offered a small smile. "Thanks for all of your help. If you think of anything else just call me." She extended her hand as she got up from her desk. Jamie didn't seem in the slightest bit upset. Nor did Jamie do this to jam people up. It was more to get to the truth than anything. She would have to do a little talking to and skimming over Hudson to see who he helped out when he was asked. Though she already had a vague idea. The woman knew that the 21st precinct worked closely with Firehouse 51 so that is where she was going to start. End Thread
